XYZ-GridPlot Description

XyzGridPlot organizes and labels image grids for AI artists, enhancing comparison and analysis.

XYZ-GridPlot:

The XyzGridPlot node is a versatile utility designed to facilitate the creation of grid plots from a list of images, including batches. It is particularly useful for visualizing and organizing images in a structured manner, allowing you to label rows and columns for better clarity and understanding. This node is ideal for AI artists who need to present their work in a grid format, making it easier to compare and analyze different images or variations. By providing options to adjust the gap between images, font size for labels, and the order of image processing, XyzGridPlot offers flexibility and control over the final output. Whether you are creating simple grids or complex super-grids, this node streamlines the process, ensuring that your images are displayed in a coherent and aesthetically pleasing way.

XYZ-GridPlot Input Parameters:

images

This parameter accepts a list of images, including batches, that you want to organize into a grid. The images will be arranged according to the specified row and column labels, if provided. This input is essential as it forms the basis of the grid plot.

row_labels

This optional parameter allows you to specify text for the row labels on the left side of the grid. These labels help in identifying and differentiating the rows, making it easier to interpret the grid. If not provided, the grid will not have row labels.

col_labels

Similar to row_labels, this optional parameter lets you define text for the column labels at the top of the grid. Column labels are useful for distinguishing between different columns, enhancing the readability of the grid. If omitted, the grid will not include column labels.

gap

The gap parameter controls the space between the sub-images within the grid. It accepts integer values ranging from 0 to 128, with a default value of 0. This setting does not affect the space within the sub-images themselves. If you desire a gap between sub-images, you may need to connect another XyzGridPlot node.

font_size

This parameter sets the target font size for the labels, with a default value of 50. It accepts float values between 6 and 1000. The text will automatically shrink to fit within the specified size, but not below a minimum font size of 6.

order

The order parameter determines the sequence in which images are processed. It is a boolean value with two options: "outside-in" (default) and "inside-out." This setting is relevant when dealing with sub-images, as it affects the arrangement of images within the grid.

output_is_list

This boolean parameter indicates whether the output should be a list. It is particularly relevant when working with sub-images or when creating super-grids. The default value is False, meaning the output will not be a list unless specified otherwise.

XYZ-GridPlot Output Parameters:

images_out

The output of the XyzGridPlot node is a grid of images arranged according to the specified parameters. This output is crucial for visualizing the organized images, allowing for easy comparison and analysis. The grid can be used for presentations, analysis, or further processing, depending on your needs.

XYZ-GridPlot Usage Tips:

  • To create a visually appealing grid, ensure that your images are of similar dimensions and aspect ratios.
  • Use the row_labels and col_labels parameters to add meaningful context to your grid, making it easier for viewers to understand the arrangement.
  • Adjust the gap parameter to create a balanced layout, especially when dealing with a large number of images.
  • Experiment with the font_size parameter to find the optimal label size that fits well within your grid without overlapping the images.

XYZ-GridPlot Common Errors and Solutions:

"Invalid image list"

  • Explanation: This error occurs when the images input is not a valid list or contains unsupported image formats.
  • Solution: Ensure that the images input is a list of valid image files and that all images are in a supported format.

"Label size exceeds maximum font size"

  • Explanation: This error indicates that the specified font size is too large for the available space in the grid.
  • Solution: Reduce the font_size parameter to a value that fits within the grid dimensions, or increase the grid size to accommodate larger labels.

"Gap value out of range"

  • Explanation: This error occurs when the gap parameter is set outside the allowed range of 0 to 128.
  • Solution: Adjust the gap parameter to a value within the specified range to ensure proper spacing between images.
