ReLight 💡 Description

Enhance images with realistic lighting effects, manipulate multiple light sources, adjust mood and focus, precise control over light interaction.

ReLight 💡:

ReLight is a powerful node designed to enhance your images by simulating realistic lighting effects. It allows you to add and manipulate multiple light sources within an image, providing a dynamic and flexible approach to relighting scenes. This node is particularly beneficial for AI artists looking to adjust the mood, focus, or visual impact of their artwork by altering lighting conditions. ReLight supports both standard and colored lighting, enabling you to create a wide range of effects from subtle highlights to dramatic contrasts. By adjusting parameters such as light position, intensity, and color, you can achieve precise control over how light interacts with the elements in your image, enhancing depth and realism. The node also includes advanced features like 3D lighting effects and gradient masks, which further expand its creative possibilities.

ReLight 💡 Input Parameters:

light_position_x

This parameter determines the horizontal position of the light source within the image, ranging from 0.0 (left) to 1.0 (right). Adjusting this value allows you to control where the light originates, affecting the direction and angle of illumination.

light_position_y

This parameter sets the vertical position of the light source, with values ranging from 0.0 (top) to 1.0 (bottom). It influences the height at which the light is cast, impacting shadows and highlights.

inner_circle_radius

Defines the radius of the inner circle of light, which is the area of maximum illumination. The value ranges from 0.0 to 1.0, with a default of 0.3. A larger radius increases the area of intense light, while a smaller radius focuses the light more narrowly.

outer_circle_radius

Specifies the radius of the outer circle of light, which determines the fall-off area where the light gradually diminishes. The value ranges from 0.0 to 1.0, with a default of 0.6. This parameter helps in creating soft transitions between light and shadow.

light_color_r

Sets the red component of the light color, with a range from 0 to 255. This parameter allows you to tint the light with a red hue, affecting the overall color balance and mood of the image.

light_color_g

Controls the green component of the light color, ranging from 0 to 255. Adjusting this value can add a green tint to the light, influencing the image's color dynamics.

light_color_b

Determines the blue component of the light color, with a range from 0 to 255. This parameter lets you introduce a blue hue to the light, altering the image's atmosphere and tone.

light_intensity

This parameter sets the intensity of the light source, with a range from 0.0 to 3.0 and a default of 1.0. Higher values increase the brightness of the light, enhancing its impact on the image.

effect_strength

Controls the overall strength of the lighting effect, with a default value of 1.5. This parameter amplifies or reduces the influence of the light on the image, allowing for subtle or pronounced lighting changes.

ReLight 💡 Output Parameters:

result_tensor

The result tensor is the primary output of the ReLight node, representing the image with the applied lighting effects. It encapsulates the visual changes made by the node, including adjustments in brightness, contrast, and color due to the simulated light sources. This output is crucial for visualizing the impact of the relighting process on the original image.

ReLight 💡 Usage Tips:

  • Experiment with different light positions to see how they affect the mood and focus of your image. Moving the light source can dramatically change the perception of depth and texture.
  • Use colored lights to add creative effects or to simulate different times of day. For instance, a warm light can mimic sunset, while a cool light can suggest moonlight.
  • Adjust the inner and outer circle radii to control the softness of the light. A smaller inner radius with a larger outer radius can create a gentle, diffused lighting effect.

ReLight 💡 Common Errors and Solutions:

Missing essential parameters for Light 1

  • Explanation: This error occurs when the necessary parameters for defining the first light source are not provided.
  • Solution: Ensure that you specify both the horizontal and vertical positions for Light 1. These are critical for the node to function correctly.

No base masks were generated/collected

  • Explanation: This message indicates that the node was unable to create the necessary base masks for the lighting effect.
  • Solution: Check that all required parameters for the light sources are correctly set and that the image dimensions are appropriate for mask generation.
